While some Arsenal fans are still in disbelief that the London team won't be lifting the coveted English Premier League title this weekend, others are of the opinion that the team played the best football in Europe.

The Gunners who led the league chart all season have slipped behind Manchester City who are currently four points above the London side with one game in hand.

The surprising 3-0 loss to Brighton at the Emirates Stadium compounded their woes as they will end the season trophyless.

The last time Arsenal won the league was in 2004 under coach Arsene Wenger.

A known Arsenal fan who spoke to Fanstribehq said that Arteta's charges remain the best team in Europe.

"Arsenal na the best team in Europe this season. I know care wetin people dey talk. I dont care what Real Madrid is playing but mentality-wise, I just don't think we are there. We lost the league not today but two or three weeks ago."
