Youngster Carney Chukwuemeka made his first Premier League appearance for Aston Villa against Tottenham Hotspurs on Wednesday.
The 17-year-old replaced Zimbabwe midfielder MarvelousNakamba in the 89th minute and helped Dean Smith’s men to an important victory at troubled Tottenham.
The Anglo-Nigerian came off the bench toward the end of the game and almost marked his debut with a stoppage-time strike.
Chukwuemeka was clear on goal, but his fine effort came off the woodwork, just before the final whistle.
Who is Carney Chukwuemeka
The highly-rated youngster was born in Austria to Nigerian parents but began his career in England.
Chukwuemeka joined Aston from Northampton Town when he was 12-years-old and he has since developed through the ranks at the club.
