Nigerian striker Akor Adams is expected to spend a couple of weeks on the sidelines due to injury.
Akor sustained the latest injury during Sevilla's 2-1 home loss against Atlético Madrid in La Liga last weekend.
The 25-year-old will begin his recovery process on Wednesday, April 9, Sevilla reported via its official website.
“Sevilla FC’s medical team reports that Akor Adams has a muscle injury in the rectus femoris of his right thigh, which was detected after he experienced discomfort in the final La Liga match against Atlético de Madrid last Sunday,” the club wrote.
Akor Adams joined the Rojiblancos in the winter transfer window last January from Ligue 1 club Montpellier.
The forward recently sustained a calf injury that kept him on the sidelines for a month.
