Super Eagles captain Ahmed Musa believes that a victory for Nigeria against Rwanda could be the turning point in their FIFA World Cup qualifiers campaign.
The three-time African champions will face the Amanuvi at the Amahoro Stadium in Kigali on Friday, March 21, before taking on Zimbabwe four days later.
Nigeria are currently winless in their four matches of the qualifying series, having managed three draws and one defeat.
Musa, who has been named in the provisional squad for the qualifiers, believes that a win in their next encounter could mark a significant turning point for the 2023 AFCON finalists.
“The important game is Rwanda,” Musa told reporters ahead of Kano Pillars’ league clash with Kwara United.
“If we can get the three points from that match, it’s going to be a turning point for us. But it is not just a job for the Super Eagles alone.
“Every Nigerian must be involved because we need their support,” he added.
