The French Football Magazine is set to unveil the nominees for the 2024 Ballon d'Or.

The list is set to be announced later today, September 4.

With Argentina superstar Lionel Messi and his long-time rival Cristiano Ronaldo no longer in the race, it means there is going to be a first-time winner at the next Ballon d'Or gala.

Real Madrid duo Vinicius Junior and Jude Bellingham and Manchester City's Rodri are currently leading the race for the coveted prize.

Vinicius and Bellingham won the UEFA Champions League and La Liga with Real last season.

Rodri won the Premier League with Manchester City and the European Championship with Spain. He was also voted the best player at the Euros.

Manchester City striker Erling Haaland and Liverpool's Mohammed Salah will also be in contention.
