Police arrest three suspected attackers of boys brigade in Abuja

The FCT Police Command has recorded a significant breakthrough in its ongoing investigation into the tragic attack on the Boys Brigade camping site in Zhayidna Village Orozo, which resulted in the unfortunate death of one of the campers, Johnson John.

In a statement, spokesperson for the command, SP Josephine Adeh, said acting on credible intelligence and digital tracking conducted on the mobile phones of the deceased, the Divisional Police Officer Karshi, CSP Mbang Usang led a team of Police operatives, trailed and arrested three suspects in connection with the incident.

Adeh identified the suspects arrested as Stanley Ukweze, Dauda Yohana, and Gemu Adamu, all residents of Wasa Village Karshi.

She said at the time of arrest, three mobile phones were recovered from the suspects, two of which have been confirmed to belong to the deceased.

The spokesperson added that the suspects are in custody and will be charged to court at the conclusion of investigation.

She said, "The Commissioner of Police, FCT Command, CP Ajao S. Adewale, psc, mnips, has reaffirmed the Command’s dedication to a thorough and uncompromising investigation.

"The command deeply appreciates the continued cooperation of residents, community leaders, and youth stakeholders, and urges members of the public to remain calm and law-abiding.
