Demola Olarewaju, an aide to former vice president Atiku Abubakar, has said President Bola Tinubu is reacting with fear of what his principal is doing.

Olarewaju said this in reaction to a social media from one Akintollgate who mocked Atiku's Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), which is fast losing prominent members to the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC).

Some of the notable members include Atiku's 2023 presidential election running mate, Ifeanyi Okowa, who dumped the PDP alongside his successor in Delta State, Governor Sheriff Oborevwori.

Also, some governor of the PDP have declared support for Tinubu's re-election, hinting at a likely defection to the APC.

Reacting, Akintollgate said, "Somebody should walk into the room and say to @atiku “Waziri, please let it go”!
Problem is that most of you PDP guys are spineless!"

However, Atiku's aide expressed the believe that only his principal can defeat Tinubu in 2027.

He replied, "Tinubu reacting in fear of what Atiku is doing but it’s Atiku you prefer to discuss.

"If Atiku withdraws from contesting today, Tinubu will declare the man a Life Statesman, and declare himself Life President.

"Nobody else in Nigeria can stop Tinubu."
