Super Eagles move up in latest FIFA ranking

The Super Eagles of Nigeria have moved up in the latest FIFA rankings for national teams.

The three-time African champions moved one place up in the new ranking released on Thursday, April 3.

Eric Chelle's side moved from 44th to 43rd position in the latest release.

Nigeria, however, dropped to sixth position on the African continent.

The Atlas Lions of Morocco maintained their number spot in Africa, followed by the Teranga Lions of Senegal in second place.

The Pharaohs of Egypt, the Dessert Warriors of Algeria and the Elephants of Cote d'Ivoire completes the top five national teams in Africa.

The Super Eagles played two matches in March against Rwanda and Zimbabwe in FIFA World Cup qualifiers.

Nigeria beat Rwanda 2-0 in Kigali before recording a disappointing 1-1 draw with the Warriors of Zimbabwe.
