Former Nigerian international Ifeanyi Udeze has called for the Super Eagles' home matches to be moved from the Godswill Akpabio Stadium in Uyo.
This comes amid Nigeria's poor run of form at home in the FIFA World Cup qualifiers.
The Super Eagles have failed to secure a victory in all three of their home matches in the qualifiers, drawing 1-1 against Lesotho, South Africa, and Zimbabwe.
The three-time African champions' inability to win at home has cast doubts on their chances of securing a ticket to the 2026 World Cup.
Nigeria also suffered a 2-1 defeat to Rwanda in Uyo in their last game of the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers.
Former footballer-turned-pundit Udeze believes Nigeria should consider changing their home venue from Uyo by fixing other stadiums.
“I think we should consider another stadium because we’ve been drawing too many matches at the Godswill Akpabio Stadium. Let’s fix other stadiums so that they can also play there,” Udeze said on Brila FM.
“For example, in the Nigerian league, when clubs play away from home, they often struggle to win because it is not their usual ground.
“So, I agree with those calling for a change of stadium because, as I said, the number of draws at the Godswill Akpabio Stadium is too much.”
