Nigerians have expressed mixed emotions following reports that all university students in Burkina Faso will receive 100k CFA until they secure employment.
The announcement, which ensures financial support for students throughout their education, has sparked widespread reactions. Many Nigerians have questioned the leadership of their own country in comparison.
While some Nigerians expressed a desire to be Burkinabes, others urged their government to adopt similar measures instead of offering student loans.
It is worth recalling that President Bola Tinubu introduced a student loan scheme aimed at revamping the education sector and ensuring that financial challenges do not hinder access to quality education for Nigerians.
However, in light of Burkina Faso’s recent initiative, Nigerians have raised concerns about President Tinubu’s leadership, particularly given the economic challenges facing the nation.
On social media, some Nigerians shared their thoughts:
@IPrinceSaviour: What can you be proud of as a Nigerian…? Under a democratic government
@onetwo0024: I don relocate..nothing person wan tell me
@YussifSterling6: I never knew a time would come, I wish I am a burkinabe

@cmaster007: How much is the visa to Burkina Faso.
@9thwonderP2x: I think the title, "GIANT OF AFRICA" should be given to this country "Burkina Faso"
