Kogi Central constituents have submitted a petition to the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) to recall suspended Senator Natasha Akpoti-Uduaghan.

Natasha was recently suspended by the Senate on allegation of misconduct in the chambers.

This was after she refused to speak from her assigned seat but preferred to engage in a shouting match with the President of the Senate, Godswill Akpabio, who ordered her to comply with the arrangement as contained in house rules.

After the shouting match, Natasha went on national TV to accused Akpabio of refusing to allow her make contributions at plenary because she refused his sexual advances.

The Kogi lawmaker has since been moving from one international news agency to another with allegation that Akpabio sexually harassed her, a claim she's yet to prove with evidence.

Not pleased with their lawmaker, her constituents initiated a recall process to remove her as their representative.

The process was blocked by an injunction gotten by Natasha at a court which stopped INEC from acknowledging the recall.

The injuction has since been set aside by a Federal High Court sitting in Lokoja, the Kogi State capital.

MyNigeria learnt that Natasha has since been donating tricycles and bags of rice to her constituents to dissuade them from partaking in the recall process.

The action seems not to be working as they have concluded the process and submitted their petition to INEC to act upon.
