Vice President Kashim Shettima has denied saying that Seyi Tinubu has taken over his role as VP under his father, President Bola Tinubu.
His media aide, Stanley Nkwocha, made this known while reacting to a report with the headline, 'Tinubu's Son Has Taken Over My Role - VP Shettima Expresses Frustration, Considers Resignation'.
According to the report, Shettima voiced his frustration over what he describes as a dangerous and deliberate sidelining of his role, alleging that President Tinubu's son has been carrying out many of his official duties.
"I have never truly felt like Vice President of Nigeria. While I should be handling my responsibilities but Tinubu's son has taken over my work," Shettima reportedly stated.
The report also cited Shettima as saying that the north has been marginalized by the Tinubu administration.
Reacting, Shettima's aide shared the report and described it as "Another fake news."
