Senator Natasha Akpoti-Uduaghan, the lawmaker representing Kogi Central senatorial district, has filed a petition before the Senate at plenary accusing Senate President Godswill Akpabio of sexual harassment.

Citing Order 40 of the Senate Rules, Senator Akpoti-Uduaghan reiterated her concerns, which were previously discussed during an interview on Arise TV, and officially petitioned the Senate.

Akpabio, the accused who was presiding over the session, asked Senator Natasha to proceed with the submission of the petition.

Recall that Senator Akpoti-Uduaghan accused Akpabio of targeting her and refusing her motion on the Ajaokuta Steel Company because she rejected his sexual advances.

Her comment has attracted several reactions from Nigerians, with her supporters taking to the national assembly to protest Akpabio stepping down as Speaker.
