Social and political commentator, Isaac Fayose has criticized Air Peace Chairman, Allen Onyema for embarking on a fake PR campaign for the Ekiti State government to promote the Ekiti State Agro-Allied International Cargo Airport.

Fayose, in a video posted on his official Instagram page, jabbed Onyema, accusing him of praising the same airport that later caused him a delayed flight.

Fayose, the younger brother of former Governor Ayodele Fayose and a strong critic of Governor Biodun Oyebanji and the All Progressives Congress (APC)-led government, has repeatedly questioned the source and amount of funds used to construct the airport.

While Fayose claimed that the plane assigned to pick Onyema couldn't land due to faulty navigational aids at the airport, the management of Air Peace has since debunked the claim.

Fayose said in pidgin English: Air Peace Chairman, Mr. Onyema. You see why it no good make people dey lie? You, senior citizen, you dey lie. You dey lie when we go book flights three o'clock, six o'clock, we go still dey wait. You go Ekiti go dey help them do PR. Dey lie for no reason. Senior man like you, they say the airport is world class. It's even better than this Abuja one."

"See Abuja airport is even better than so many airports in the world as God won't catch you, your plane dey stranded for 24 hours due to navigational aid system wey no dey walk for new airports. Do you see why it is not good for you to use your name to be doing PR for state government, Ekiti state government, that is bad PR. You can see, as God go catch you, your Air Peace come and dey stuck for there for 24 hours because there is no navigation."

"How will you do PR for Ekiti when the minister of aviation was there. He said it's 99.5% completion. But 12 days ago, they still give out contract worth 4. something billion on the airport. Up till now, we don't know the cost of this airport. We keep shouting every day. We will not give up or give up until you give us the cost of this airport. Up till last two weeks, you are still giving out contracts."

"Now Air Peace where you dey beg make them help you do PR now they were stranded there, your navigational system. Nothing is working."
