John Mikel Obi has slammed Chelsea forward Jadon Sancho for his average showing in recent matches for the club.
The 24-year-old began his campaign on a blistering note after joining the Blues on a loan deal from Manchester United last summer.
However, the former Borussia Dortmund star seems to have lost his spark in recent matches, and Mikel Obi believes the England international deceived the fans with glimpses of good performance when he first moved to Stamford Bridge.
“Jadon Sancho, he’s come on, and he’s deceived us with a couple of games. We thought, ‘Oh, f*****g hell, now we’re getting the Jadon Sancho from Dortmund,’ but he’s gone again. I don’t know what’s happened to Jadon. He’s disappeared.
“Off the grid. He takes the ball. He doesn’t go past people anymore. He doesn’t create chances anymore. He doesn’t help the team as much as he should be. And [Noni] Madueke is now injured as well,” the former Chelsea midfielder said on his Obi One Podcast.
