Atalanta head coach Gian Piero Gasperini has disclosed that Nigerian international Ademola Lookman is fit for their UEFA Champions League round of 16 second leg playoff tie against Club Brugge.
The Serie A outfit will host the Belgium Pro League side at the Gewiss Stadium looking to overturn a 2-1 deficit from the first leg.
Speaking ahead of the encounter, Gasperini stated that 2024 African Footballer of the Year, Lookman, who missed the first leg due to injury, might come off the bench during the game.
“Lookman and Kolasinac have recovered, they are called up,” Gasperini said at a pre-match press conference as quoted by TMW.
“In principle, Kolasinac will start, and Lookman might come in during the second half.”
Lookman has missed La Dea's last six games across all competitions since sustaining a knee injury last month.
