The chambers of the Lagos State House of Assembly witnessed tension on Monday as officials of the Department of State Services (DSS) clashed with legislative workers.
This was after the fully armed DSS officials tried to make their way into the chambers.
However, they were resisted by the lawmakers who protested against their intrusion.
The incident may not be unconnected to the removal of Mudashiru Obasa as Speaker of the Lagos assembly.
Obasa was removed by his colleagues on the grounds of gross misconduct and financial misappropriation.
He was immediately replaced by his former Deputy, Mojisola Meranda who became the first female Speaker of the assembly.
However, the Agege Constituency lawmaker has refused to back down, claiming his removal was illegal.
Since his removal, the DSS have invited the assembly lawmakers for questioning.
However, Monday's incident indicates that all may not be done and dusted concerning Obasa.
