The National Emergency Management Agency (NEMA) has announced the return of 148 Nigerians from Libya.
In a terse statement on Wednesday, NEMA said the returnees arrived on Tuesday at the Murtala Muhamed International Airport Cargo at 17.35 hours aboard a Boeing chartered flight with registration no. 5A-BAA.
The returnees were received by officials of the NEMA Lagos Territorial Office along with other stakeholders.
The agency said the profile of the returnees shows 124 adult females, 13 adult males, five children and three infants.
"They were offered necessary assistance by IOM with the support of NEMA, NCFRMI, Nigeria Immigration Service, DSS, Port Health and Nigeria Police Force.
"After the mandatory profiling and biometric exercise, the returnees were moved for further reintegration programs spareheaded by IOM," NEMA said.
