Nigerians on social media have reacted to the increase in data tariffs by telecommunications giant, MTN.
Various social media platforms, especially X, have been flooded with complaints from customers over the latest tariff hike.
According to several posts cited on social media, customers have called out MTN for increasing the cost of its 15GB data plan from ₦2,000 to ₦6,000.
However, MyNigeria could not independently verify the authenticity of these claims, as MTN has yet to release an official statement on its social media platforms or through traditional media.
MTN remains one of the largest telecommunications providers in Africa and holds the biggest market share in Nigeria.
