Moses Simon's wonder goal against Rennes has been shortlisted for the Goal of the Month for December/January in the French Ligue 1.
The Super Eagles winger scored the only goal late in the game to help Nantes secure a crucial victory in the Derby Breton on Sunday, December 8.
Simon picked up the ball on the left flank and dribbled his way between two Rennes defenders before placing his shot in the top far corner.
Olympique Lyon's Georges Mikautadze, Saint-Étienne’s duo Lucas Stassin and Augustine Boakye, and Maghanes Akilouche are all in contention for the award.
The Super Eagles winger is also competing for the Top Assist Provider for the month.
Simon has registered five goals and six assists in 18 appearances across all competitions for Nantes this season.
