Nigerian international Kelechi Iheanacho is reportedly set to join Sky Bet Championship outfit Middlesbrough on loan from Sevilla.

The 28-year-old has endured a difficult start at Sevilla since joining the club as a free agent in the summer.

Iheanacho has managed just nine La Liga appearances since joining the Rojiblancos as a free agent in the summer.

He has also made two appearances in the Copa del Rey, scoring three times in the Spanish Kings Cup.

The Super Eagles striker is expected to leave the Ramon Sanchez Pizjuan and return to the Sky Bet Championship before the end of the winter transfer window.

According to transfer expert Ben Jacobs, Middlesbrough beat Scottish giants Celtic to the signature of the Super Eagles striker.

Iheanacho played in the Championship last season, where he helped Leicester City win the second-tier English league and secure qualification to the Premiership.
