The former Minister of Humanitarian Affairs and Poverty Alleviation, Betta Edu, has revealed why she doesn't attack President Bola Tinubu despite him sacking her from his administration.

Edu was suspended following an alleged financial scandal in the tune of N585 million.

The former commissioner of health in Akwa Ibom was then sacked as confirmed by Presidential aide, Bayo Onanuga.

Since her exit, Edu has been quite on praises and criticism of the administration which she helped install.

However, most politicians like Edu, who had a fallout with the administration, have been attacking it publicity.

Reacting, one X user, @DeeOneAyekooto, commended her attitude in the face of tribulations.

He said, "Honestly, I must confess, I now respect Betta Edu, as young as she is, as active as she was during campaign in Nigeria, in cross rivers, at the Chatham House, with her tribulations, she is more matured than some old politicians."

In response, Edu revealed the reason why her voice is not heard in criticism of Tinubu.

She said, "I don’t build and destroy in same breath… I build, nurture and rebuild until it gets to perfection! …If indeed you whole heartedly put your sweat and may be blood to build, it will be too hard to destroy! A real mother will not kill the child she carried for 9 months!"
