Head coach of Tanzania Hemed Suleiman Ali has declared that his team will be ready for their opponents at the 2025 African Cup of Nations.
The Taifa Stars have been drawn in Group C alongside Nigeria, Uganda and Tunisia.
The East African side will be aiming to qualify out of the group stage for the third time of asking after crashing out at that stage in their last three AFCON appearances.
Despite coming up against the likes of Nigeria and Tunisia, head coach Ali is confident that his side will be ready to represent their nation well at the competition.
“We are ready. We saw who we are going to play with. I think it’s a tough group but it’s tough for all of them. There is no easy group,” the gaffer told Cafonline.
“If you have qualified for this stage of the competition, you have to prepare. We know who we are facing, and we know how we will prepare for them. There is no other way, we have to prepare well and represent our people well at this tournament.”
The Taifa Stars will kick off their campaign against Nigeria at the Complexe Sportif de Fès on Tuesday, December 23.
