Former Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) presidential candidate Atiku Abubakar has commended Rivers Governor Siminalayi Fubara for his achievements in the state.
Atiku made this known in a statement while celebrating Fubara’s 50th birthday.
The former Vice President prayed for good health, wisdom and impactful leadership for Fubara as he turns a year older.
He said, “Happy birthday, Governor @SimFubaraKSC. Your remarkable achievements in Rivers State within such a short period are evident to all.
“I join the great people of Rivers to celebrate you, and I am confident that the years ahead will be filled with greater progress and prosperity for the state and its people. I pray that God grants you many more years of good health, wisdom, and impactful leadership. -AA”
Atiku’s remarks come amid Fubara’s continued face-off with his predecessor, Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, Nyesom Wike.
The praises for Fubara come amid a political feud with Nyesom Wike, the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory following his assumption into office as governor.
Wike and Fubara have been at loggerheads with each other as a result of who controls the political structure in Rivers State.
