Greek club Panathinaikos have expressed keen interest in securing the signature of want-away Sevilla forward Kelechi Iheanacho.

Iheanacho has had a tough time securing regular playing minutes since arriving at Sevilla on a free transfer from Leicester City last summer.

The 28-year-old has managed just nine appearances in La Liga, mostly coming on as a substitute.

The Super Eagles striker has also managed two appearances in the Copa del Rey, scoring thrice in the Spanish King's Cup.

Deportivo Mundo reports that Panathinaikos have contacted Sevilla for the Nigerian forward.

The former Manchester City man has also been linked with moves to Watford, Ipswich Town, and Wolverhampton Wanderers in the Premier League and the Sky Bet Championship.
