A Nigerian man has thrown a party to celebrate Donald Trump on his inauguration as the 47th President of the United States.

In a video shared on TikTok by Jamilu Majia on Monday, the man and others were seen jubilation in front of a banner baring a congratulatory message to Trump.

The message read, "Congratulations Mr. President #Trump Inaugural Luncheon in Nigeria."

The participants were seen singing in Hausa and clapping excitedly.

No reason was stated for throwing the elaborate party for the President of a foreign country.

The video surfaced after Trump was sworn in as the 47th President of the United States on Monday.

Trump became the 47th U.S. president after defeating former Vice President Kamala Harris in the November 2024 presidential election.

As an incumbent, Trump lost the 2020 election to Joe Biden who stepped down from contesting in 2024 due to health issues.
