A UK-based Nigerian man has replaced items allegedly stolen from Conservative leader Kemi Badenoch by the Nigerian police when she was young.

Recall that Badenoch had criticised the Nigerian police following her experience in her home country, Nigeria. She revealed that the police had stolen a pair of shoes and a wristwatch that belonged to her brother.

She said, “I do. My experience with the police in Nigeria was very negative, and coming to the UK, my first experience with the police was very positive. The police in Nigeria would rob us.

“I remember the police stealing my brother’s shoes and his watch. It’s a very poor country, so people do all sorts of things.”

This revelation sparked widespread reactions from Nigerians.

As a result, a Nigerian man in the UK, having heard her remarks, wentto the store to purchase a pair of shoes and a wristwatch to replace her stolen items.

The young man then went to her Conservative Headquaters and gave the items to the security officer to delivery them to Badenoch. He wrote, “On behalf of every proud Nigerian who felt genuinely hurt by those unfounded and disparaging remarks about the Nigerian police, we buy back the stolen shoes and watch! I hope it fits tho.”

His actions have earned him lots of praise as Nigerians took to social media to commend him.

@meanfello: Lovely! She will be receiving mine as well.

@BashirAhmaad: Amazing.

@olumachoo: Irapada

@Slyman_Galadima: This guy deserves national honor.

@boyi_kadiri: Hope that settles the beef against Nigeria. A big thanks to that fellow Nigerian. We owe big time

@SamuelImonide: Great guy I love my Nigerian people

@iamgbenga: They should send to the prime minister’s office for onward delivery to the leader of opposition. Nigerians in UK should buy lots of shoes and send to her. Infact it should become a trend in the UK.
