Popular social media platform, TikTok has had its services restored in the United States of America after a Supreme Court ban for 24 hours.
TikTok's service was restored after President Donald Trump signed an executive order to delay the ban.
The US Supreme Court earlier ordered a shutdown of the platform all over the country due to privacy concerns and its connection to China.
This ban has heavily affected millions of TikTok influencers as according to them, their years of hard work had been wasted.
They also cried over the loss of revenue, saying they had earned a lot of money on TikTok.
The ban became effective on Sunday, January 19, 2025, and forced the social media platform offline.
In a recent development, President Donald Trump, promised to delay the enforcement via an executive order on his first day in office.
TikTok released a statement on X, and it read: “In agreement with our service providers, TikTok is in the process of restoring service.
"We thank President Trump for providing the necessary clarity and assurance to our service providers that they will face no penalties for providing TikTok to over 170 million Americans and allowing over 7 million small businesses to thrive.”
According to the statement, it will work with President Trump on a long-term solution that keeps the platform in the country.
