Napoli striker Romelu Lukaku has shared his thoughts on the crucial Serie A clash against Atalanta this weekend.
The Naples-based club is looking to reclaim the Scudetto title after losing it to Inter Milan last season.
Antonio Conte's side is currently at the top of Serie A, three points ahead of Inter, who have a game in hand.
A win for Inter would see them surpass Napoli due to their superior goal difference.
Conte's side is also four points ahead of Atalanta, who are also in the title race, as the two sides gear up for the crucial fixture on Saturday, January 18.
Napoli lost 3-0 at home in their first league meeting back in November, courtesy of Ademola Lookman's brace and another goal from Mateo Retegui.
Lukaku, who replaced Victor Osimhen in the Napoli team, believes it will be a tough test at the Gewiss Stadium, but his side is physically and mentally prepared for the clash.
“I think they have become stronger, and so have we,” Lukaku said.
“We still have a couple of days to prepare for the match, and it will be a very tough challenge. We are a team that fights together. We must prove that we are strong in every aspect—mentally, physically, with and without the ball. We must be complete. They have a coach like Gasperini, whom I respect a lot. It will be a great match for the fans.”
