Nigerian international Ademola Lookman missed the opportunity to score his 50th career goal as Atalanta were held to a goalless draw against Udinese in Serie A.
Lookman and De Ketelaere, who have been phenomenal for La Dea in the attack, were kept at bay for the entirety of the game.
It was the sixth time the reigning African Footballer of the Year has either failed to score or assist in Serie A.
Despite the draw, Gian Piero Gasperini lauded the Super Eagles striker for his hard work and defensive contribution to the team.
"I am satisfied with the sacrifice of Lookman and De Ketelaere. They tried to do their best, even in defense.
"There are no criticisms to make about the commitment. We found a physical team that put us in difficulty," Gasperini said after the Serie A game.
Lookman is a goal shy of hitting 50 career goals. This includes 11 Premier League goals, five in the German Bundesliga, and 33 in Serie A, bringing his total to 49 goals.
