President Bola Tinubu has fulfilled the promise to eliminate bandits terrorising Birnin Gwari and environs.

Tinubu made the promise in 2022 when he traveled to the area as the first presidential candidate to do so.

While delivering a speech, Tinubu expressed concern about the atrocities committed by bandits and how their activities have affected the area.

He then made a personal donation of N50 million before he left.

Normalcy has now returned to the area once plagued by banditry as the last tranche of bandits laid down their arms, signifying an end to insecurity in the zone.

This was disclosed on X by presidential aide, Dada Olusegun, who commended the Nigerian military for their efforts in "making our nation safer over the years."
