A chieftain of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Joe Igbokwe, has stated that former President Muhammadu Buhari laid a solid foundation for President Bola Tinubu to build on.

Igbokwe believes that the footprints and gains are showing in the country presently. He asks Nigerians to ignore the claims that Buhari was a failure.

Taking to his Facebook page, Igbokwe said, “Let nobody living or dead run away with the thinking that PMB is a failure. Perish the thought.

“He laid the solid foundation for PBAT to build on. We are seeing the footprints and the gains today.”

His comment comes after former presidential Special Adviser on Political Matters, Babafemi Ojudu, pointed out that Buhari was not a visionary.

According to Ojudu, Buhari’s lack of vision made him not back former Vice President Yemi Osinbajo’s bid to be president.

Igbokwe, however, called Buhari a patriot and an incorruptible leader.
