Niger Delta militant Asari Dokubo has described Nnamdi Kanu, the leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB), as a criminal.

He stated that Kanu ordered the killing of innocent people and must be held accountable for his crimes. However, he has no issue if the court finds him innocent and sets him free after all his atrocities.

Speaking to the media, Dokubo said, “I don’t think any court has freed Nnamdi Kanu. Let them show us any evidence of Nnamdi Kanu being freed. There is a process. The due process of the court is very clear.

Nnamdi Kanu is a criminal. He ordered the killing of innocent people. So, he should be held responsible for his crimes. Its as simple as that, no two ways about it.

But if the court finds him not culpable and releases him after all the atrocities he has committed, okay for him. But for now, no court has set him free.”

The militant further stated that his men are currently fighting alongside the Nigerian military and navy in Imo State against the ESN and IPOB.

He noted that they have been able to destroy several camps belonging to the separatist insurgencies in the southeast.

“I don’t have a faceoff with the military, they are the ones looking for a faceoff. I said what I said. Helicopters were flying over my house.

As we are talking now, in Imo, the military people, army, and navy are standing side by side with my men fighting at Okigwe and Ideator. So some of them coming to make these things, I laugh. They are saying that insurgency will not end and that Simon Ekpa.

Who is Simon Ekpa? We have destroyed virtually all the ESN and IPOB camps. When you are fighting for self-determination, it can take any means because the person oppressing you will not allow you to just go. The person oppressing you will do everything to keep you,” he said.
