Social media commentator Martins Otse, popularly known as VeryDarkMan has disclosed that the bank account meant for his NGO was hacked and N160 million was diverted.

He made this known in a post on Instagram, revealing that he is currently tracking the individuals responsible for the hack.

He disclosed that with the help of the police, one of the suspects has been apprehended.

"For the past few days, I haven’t been myself and it hasn’t been easy. I got hope and confidence to speak up when the police helped track and apprehend one of the suspects. The truth is, the NGO account was hacked and 160 million naira was diverted. I am on my way to Jos and hopefully, I will be able to recover everything," he wrote.

Recall that the controversial celebrity launched his Non-Governmental Organization called Martins Vincent Otse Initiative with a focus on community development and equipping public schools.

The social media activist rallied for support and promised transparency and accountability.

He disclosed in a post days after its launch that he had received over N33 million in donations within 24 hours including N100 million from music executive, Don Jazzy.

He also shared a screenshot of the total donations and thanked donors for their contributions. The activist said most individuals gave N500 or less, demonstrating their willingness to support despite financial constraints.
