Senator Dino Melaye has expressed concern over Bishop David Abioye’s retirement from the Living Faith Church, popularly known as Winners Chapel.

Melaye questioned why the popular Bishop of Winners Chapel was retired when he is younger than the church’s founder, Bishop David Oyedepo.

He further stated that Abioye’s retirement was not God’s doing but rather Oyedepo’s decision.

The Senator made this known while explaining his reason for not attending this year’s Shiloh, an annual convocation of the Winners family worldwide.

In a post on his social media page, the lawyer and businessman wrote, “I did not attend Shiloh 2024. Because Shiloh without Bishop Abioye is somehow. I can't understand why Bishop Oyedepo, who is older, is not retired, and it is Bishop Abioye who is younger that should be forcefully retired. God did not retire Abioye, only Oyedepo did.
