Controversial social media commentator Reno Omokri has advised Nigerians to learn the virtue of contentment.

He shared this message while discussing the stories of Nigerian socialite Hushpuppi, who was famous for flaunting a lavish lifestyle funded by money laundering.

Hushpuppi, an international fraudster who conspired to launder tens of millions of dollars through online scams, was sentenced to 11 years in an American prison.

Omokri pointed out that in 2020, many people envied Hushpuppi for his extravagant display of wealth, but now he would likely wish to be in their shoes.

He also mentioned Abba Kyari, a former Nigerian police officer who served as a Deputy Commissioner of Police. Kyari was suspended and relieved of his duties following his arrest on February 14, 2022, by the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency for his alleged involvement with an international drug cartel.

After spending 27 months in the Kuje Custodial Centre in the Federal Capital Territory, Kyari was released.

Additionally, Omokri highlighted Ghana President-elect John Mahama, who lost his reelection bid in 2016, becoming the first incumbent President to lose an election.

However, after eight years, Mahama won the presidential election by a landslide victory, receiving 56.55% of the vote cast.

He said, “In 2020, you thought Hushpupi was more blessed than you. Today, Hushpuppi would die to be in your shoes. In 2022, you looked up to Abba Kyari.

In 2024, the supercop is desperately looking for a saviour from anywhere. In 2016, John Mahama was mocked in Ghana for being the first incumbent president to lose an election.

After he won the presidency this weekend, those who laughed at him started regretting their action. Learn the virtue of contentment. Envy no one. You only see a thumbnail.

God sees the complete picture. Therefore, don’t look down at any man unless you are admiring his shoes, and don't look up to anyone unless they are taller than you. Look down on Satan and look up to God only.”
