Leicester City manager Ruud Van Nistelrooy is hoping that Nigerian international Wilfred Ndidi will not be sidelined for long following his injury in his side's clash against Brighton and Hove Albion.
Ndidi was substituted early in the second half after straining his hamstring in Leicester City's 2-2 draw against Brighton at the King Power Stadium on Sunday, December 8.
The Super Eagles midfielder was replaced by Oliver Skipp in the 52nd minute.
In a post-match reaction, Van Nistelrooy stated that he hopes Ndidi's injury is a minor one that will not keep him out for a long period.
“Wilf, when he comes off you know there’s a problem. I hope it’s minor. He felt a slight strain in the hamstring. Hopefully it’s not too much. We’ll see how quick we can get him back.”
Ndidi has featured in all 15 Premier League appearances for the Foxes this season, recording four assists in the process.
