Nigerian international Joe Aribo was on target as Chelsea thumped the Saints 5-1 at St. Mary's Stadium on Wednesday night.
Goals from Axel Disasi, Christopher Nkunku, Noni Madueke, Cole Palmer, and Jadon Sancho ensured that Joe Aribo's 11th-minute strike only counted for consolation.
Aribo was well-placed to finish off Kyle Walker-Peters' beautiful work on the left flank to cancel out Axel Disasi's early goal.
The goal was Aribo's second Premier League goal in 13 appearances for the Saints this season.
The defeat was Southampton's 11th of the season, leaving them languishing at the bottom of the table.
