Super Eagles duo Ademola Lookman and William Troost-Ekong have been dropped from the 2024 FIFPRO Men’s World XI released today, Monday, December 2.
Lookman and Troost-Ekong were included in the initial shortlist of players considered the best in the world, with Lookman earning recognition for his brilliant performance in the Europa League final, where he netted a hat-trick.
Troost-Ekong earned recognition following his outstanding performance in the African Cup of Nations earlier this year, where he was adjudged the player of the tournament.
The FIFPRO World XI is an annual award that recognizes the best male and female players in the world. Voting for this award is exclusively done by professional players in the sport.
