The Access Bank has denied claims that about N500 million could not be found in a deceased customer's account.
The bank stated this on its official social media handles on Sunday, November 24, 2024.
This was made in reaction to controversial social media influencer, VeryDarkMan's claims that the bank has stolen the money from the deceased customer's account.
According to the Access Bank, the allegations were absolutely false and that the bank ensures that customers' funds - whether dead or alive - are secure.
The bank said: “No N500m or any other fund or amount is missing from the subject customer’s account or any other customer’s account with us.
“We and other independent stakeholders in the banking industry have thoroughly investigated these allegations and independently arrived at the same conclusions.
"Access Bank Plc operates with the highest ethical standards and we protect our customers’ interests whilst also respecting privacy laws.”
The bank further advised the public not to rely on or believe sensational and unverified claims.
