FCT Minister Nyesom Wike has attributed his strange behavior during the visit of Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi to his ongoing battle with diarrhea.

This explanation comes after a video surfaced online showing Wike appearing to have shoved Modi during his visit to Nigeria.

The Peoples Gazette reported that Wike's apparent misconduct has been reported to the presidency, with Wike requesting disciplinary measures not be taken against him.

Sources at the presidency revealed that Wike claimed he was suffering from diarrhea and was in a hurry to get to the toilet, which he believed justified his disoriented behavior towards the Indian leader.

“His office has informed us in the Villa that the minister was having a hard time controlling himself because of diarrhea that he had been battling for some time now,” sources acquainted with knowledge of the matter said. They were granted anonymity to speak freely on a sensitive matter that involved a high-ranking official.

“The president has not directed us to query him, but he seemed to have sensed the possibility of being queried so he tried to get ahead of the situation,” sources told The Gazette. “The president will take the final decision on the matter, but everyone was quite embarrassed that it happened at all. It was entirely avoidable.”
