Former governorship candidate, Dino Melaye has taken a swipe at detractors, saying he doesn't need any validation from them to be who he is.
Melaye, a chieftain of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in a post on his Instagram page says he doesn't operate within Nigeria's ailing economy but a 'Jesus economy'.
"Haters!! How market? I don't need your validation. SDM operate Jesus economy promised me," he wrote quoting Philippians 4:19.
He has been a major block behind former presidential candidate, Atiku Abubakar before and after the 2023 elections.
Since his party's defeat in the 2023 elections and his subsequent defeat in the Kogi elections, Dino remains a key critic of the current administration's policies.
He recently shared a clever response to a supporter of President Bola Tinubu who begged him for money.
Melaye, in a Facebook post on Saturday, said he wrote “Renewed Hope” on the cheque he gave to Tinubu’s supporter.
“Tinubu supporter begged me for money, I brought out my cheque and wrote on it… ” Renewed Hope”,” he wrote.
