Tufiakwa! who will rescue Nigeria? - Akeredolu’s widow clashes with critics shortly after 'rubbishing' Nigerian election

Betty Anyanwu-Akeredolu, wife of the former Ondo State Governor, late Rotimi Akeredolu, has criticized the Nigerian election held in 2023 while comparing it to the 2024 America election.

In a post shared on social media, Betty pointed out the differences between the two elections. She cited the 5-day duration it took Nigeria to count the votes of 25 million voters.

Meanwhile, America, with 155 million voters, conducted their counting within 10 hours. This, she believes, shows the dishonesty in the Nigerian election.

The former First Lady said, “Just thinking
2023 Nigerian Presidential Election
Total Votes Cast: 25 million
Counting Duration: 5days

2024 US Presidential Election
Total Votes Cast: 155 million
Counting Duration: Approximately 10 hours
Moral: When dishonesty is prioritized, simple things become difficult.”

In a series of tweets, she said, “Why all the noise about Aketi's widow? Wetin dey hapun? I made an honest but harmless observation on Nigerian and US presidential elections; twitter is now on. Kilode?. Obviously, truth hurts and hurts with tribal colouration. Tufiakwa! Look at the attacks; did you notice a pattern? The Igbophobia is so thick and vicious. And by association, as my darling husband, Aketi was not spared. In fact, to his people, nde ofenmanu, Aketi was an Igboman, and very quickly, they would sweep under the carpet his bold and courageous role.

How dare you? Una dey craz! Those deplorable bullies can't succeed no matter how hard they try. Let me be clear: Aketi's legacy is written in gold on the marble, in case they didn't know. As for their bad mouth against me, dem go taya! Ada Owere no send o. "Awuum akwaa akwuru"

In fact, to his people, nde ofenmanu, Aketi was an Igboman and very quickly, they would sweep under the carpet his bold and courageous role on the Nigerian political landscape. How dare you? Una dey craz! Those deplorable bullies can't succeed no matter how hard they try.”

@drdebodun: This IPOB vibe from a former first Lady of a SW state is disgraceful. This is unfair to the memory of your late husband.

@paul_ozah: Truth is indeed bitter I can understand the attacks on her. We are doomed in this country Nigeria.

She responds, @adaowere1: “Very bitter indeed! Who will rescue Nigeria? What a zoo country!”

@SupportBlockch5: See as Simple Truth dey Pinch Lovers of Nigeria for Body

@StephenIkechuk4: It's only in Nigeria that someone can be old, have money & access to power, yet remain wilfully ignorant. The US Presidential elections started over a week before the D-Day, and till date the official ballots are still being counted, tallied & yet to be officially announced.

@TimedFrank: “When dishonesty is prioritized, simple things become difficult” This is apt. Another moral: When the PROCESS is flawed, the outcome can NEVER be respected.

@Officialon47751: But is Nigeria not a zoo???.
