Atalanta forward Ademola Lookman has tipped Barcelona wonderkid Lamine Yamal to win the Ballon d'Or award in the coming years.
Yamal, 17, was introduced into the Barcelona first team from the famous La Masia Academy in 2023 under Xavi Hernandez, and the prodigy seized the opportunity with aplomb.
The youngster has since established himself in the senior team, cementing his position on the right wing.
Yamal starred at the 2024 European Championship in Germany, helping Spain win their third Euros title and winning the Best Young Player award.
The talented youngster registered one goal and four assists in the tournament, including scoring a crucial goal against France in the semifinal and assisting Nico Williams in the final against England.
Yamal finished in 5th position at the recently held 2024 Ballon d'Or ceremony and clinched the Kopa Trophy awarded to the best U-21 player for the season.
When asked to pick a player to win the Ballon d'Or in the next few years, Ademola Lookman said, “One player who could win the Ballon d’Or in future? Lamine Yamal.”
