Former Super Eagles midfielder John Mikel Obi has shared his thoughts on Chelsea's 2-1 defeat to Liverpool in the Premier League.
The Blues suffered their second Premier League defeat to the Reds at Anfield on Sunday, October 20, as goals from Mohammed Salah and Curtis Jones ensured that Nicholas Jackson's 47th-minute strike only counted as a consolation.
The victory ensured that the Reds maintained their top position on the Premier League table, while the Blues dropped to sixth position, just one point above London rivals Tottenham Hotspur.
Chelsea's first defeat came in their 2-0 loss to title holders Manchester City on matchday one.
Mikel Obi believes Enzo Maresca's side was unlucky against Liverpool, but he also thinks the team needs to start winning the big games.
“Unlucky @chelseafc, but have to start winning the big games,” the former Blues midfielder wrote on his Instagram story.
Chelsea will return to action against Panathinaikos in the UEFA Europa Conference League on Thursday, October 24.
