Keystone Bank trains over 1,000 girls on menstrual hygiene

To celebrate the International Day of the Girl Child, Keystone Bank Limited, in partnership with the Abia State Government, have empowered more than 1,130 underprivileged girls across 17 local government areas on menstrual hygiene and financial literacy.

According to Keystone Bank, this initiative is part of its Corporate Social Responsibility “Let’s Talk Period” project to provide an enabling environment by improving the well-being, health, and lifestyle of young girls in the communities they operate.

The 2024 International Day of the Girl Child celebration is themed ‘Girls’ Vision for the Future'.

The bank distributed more than 3,800 sanitary pads to the young girls, and promoted menstrual hygiene awareness.

Dr. Eucharia Ken-Agbiriogu, Directorate Head, South, Keystone Bank, took the girls on financial literacy, equipping them with essential knowledge for their financial future. She also shared motivational words inspiring the young girls to recognize their potential and strive for greatness.

She said: “The “Let’s Talk Period” project reflects Keystone Bank’s commitment to corporate social responsibility and its dedication to supporting women’s empowerment and education, especially in underserved communities.

“We are proud to partner with the Abia State Government on such an impactful initiative.
