Rufai Oseni lists 3 questions he would have asked Wike after his exclusive interview on Channels Television

Popular on-air personality Rufai Oseni believes that FCT Minister Nyesom Wike should have faced tougher questions in the recent interview he gave to Channels Television on Tuesday, October 8.

Oseni, who was analyzing Wike's exclusive interview, expressed his opinion that the former Rivers State governor should have been asked more probing questions when he accused Rivers State Governor Siminalayi Fubara of being responsible for the violence that occurred during the local council events over the weekend.

During the interview, Wike accused Fubara of instigating the violence that erupted in the state after the new chairpersons of the local government areas were inaugurated.

He criticized Governor Siminalayi Fubara for not obeying the rule of law, stating, "Obeying the rule of law means you must comply with court judgments. When you fail to obey court judgments, you are inviting destruction and anarchy."

Reacting to this Rufai said, "That’s why I said there were many things we could have pressed Wike on during that interview. For starters, when he made that claim, I would have asked him to provide evidence. I would have questioned whether it was the government that caused the disruption in all the local governments. Why did this happen after the local government elections? Did the government seek a Federal government high court order to disrupt the local government elections in the first place? These are important points. Why did this occur after the local government election?"

"I would have also asked him about the fact that, as the governor and the State's Security Officer, why is the police seemingly favoring the opposition party? If he claims to have no involvement, why was he blaming the APC for the court order? Why is he so involved in these matters? He should be focusing on issues in Abuja instead of getting caught up in these conflicts. As someone, I believe VeryDarkMan has called him, Wike should be focusing on addressing the unfinished roads in Abuja rather than getting involved in battles in Rivers."
