Premier League giants Manchester United have reportedly entered the race to sign Nigerian international Victor Boniface from Bayer Leverkusen.

Boniface has been in exceptional form since joining the Bundesliga champions in the summer of 2023 from Royal Union SG in the Belgian Jupiler League.

The 23-year-old registered 23 goals and 10 assists in 34 appearances across all competitions, helping Xabi Alonso’s side to a historic Bundesliga title and the DFB Pokal.

Boniface picked up from where he left off last season, notching seven goals and five assists in eight Bundesliga appearances.

The Super Eagles striker recently opened his goal account in the UEFA Champions League against AC Milan last week.

According to Fichajes, the Red Devils are ready to rival Chelsea for the signature of the Nigerian striker.

Despite signing youngsters like Rasmus Hojlund and Joshua Zirkzee, the club believes Boniface is the missing piece in the United attack.

Boniface has four years left on his contract at Bay Arena and is valued between €60m and €80m.
