Reno Omokri, a member of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), has shared a photo of himself with President Bola Tinubu.
Omokri, an ally of Atiku Abubakar, the presidential candidate of the PDP in the 2023 presidential elections, said he spent Independence Day with the President.
"Spending Independence Day with President Tinubu at the Presidential Villa. May God bless Nigeria," he said in the post on social media.
The post has generated mixed reactions as defection rumors have begun to creep in.
Reno Omokri has not hidden his support for the President, as he has on several occasions defended the policies of the current administration.
His actions have raised concerns among some party loyalists, including chieftain Dele Momodu.
