Controversial political commentator Isaac Fayose has criticized the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Nyesom Wike for his recent attacks on Governor Siminalayi Fubara.

Fayose, the brother of former Ekiti governor Ayo Fayose, questioned on his Instagram page why Wike is acting as if he is bigger than the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) that gave him the opportunity to run for public office.

He also praised Governor Fubara for staying true to his convictions and not succumbing to pressure from his political godfather.

Nyesom Wike and Siminalayi Fubara exchanged words over the weekend after separate events in the state.

Wike, at a reception on Saturday, September 30 held in his honor by the Rivers Ijaw Peoples Congress, mocked Fubara for joining the Action Peoples Party, stating that he would show the governor how to play politics.

In response to this, Fubara stated that he has always stood for the truth and does not need anyone to apologize on his behalf for doing what is right for the state.

He mentioned that his administration is committed to protecting Rivers' resources from those who seek to control its fate.

As tensions continue in the state, Fayose also criticized Oyo State Governor Seyi Makinde.

"They gave you the PDP platform to use. After using it, it is the same platform you want to use to turn to Lord Luggard. Governor Wike, you are saying, the PDP isnt not bigger than you and you are now bigger than the PDP," he said.

"What about the individuals who gave you the chance to use that platform? Governor Fubara, you are doing a good job, you are trying, I like what you are saying the fact and cannot be scared of man. Dont be like the Governor of Oyo State."
